Hi Simon,
Thanks for the worm welcome, Can you help me with this Problem I'm having with #2
foot pedal input on Tyros 1? I want to use #2 Pedal for Endings but when I set it up it's ok if I turn off the Keyboard it's gone, Is there a way to keep It on ? The #1 Input Pedal I use for Sustain and that is always there.

Regards
Tony

Hi Tony

Although I do not have a Tyros 1 here to try at the moment, I am quite sure that Tyros 1 powers on with ‘default pedal settings’. Each of the three footswitch sockets at the back of the keyboard has a label.

Socket 1 – Sustain
Socket 2 – DSP Variation
Socket 3 – Volume.

When you power on for the 1st time, these sockets are automatically assigned their default settings as above. If you then change a pedal setting in the Controller section, you then need to *save your registration as a ‘Registration Memory’ in 1-8 registration memory. You then need to *save the 1-8 memories as a ‘Registration Bank’.

*Saving registration memories is covered in detail on CD-3 track 1 and 2 of your tutorial set.

I am pretty sure you have only noticed it on socket 2 only as you normally use socket 1 for sustain, which is the default for socket 1. As you changed socket 2 to another setting ‘e.g. Ending’, it would reset back to its default when you power the instrument off and on.

Hope you find this information helpful!

Kind regards
