Hi Ben

Welcome to the forum!

Glad you are enjoying the Yamaha PSR-S700!

There are a huge variety of options regarding storage. You could either go for a self powered USB hard drive or a more portable USB memory stick/ Flash drive. The amount of memory for your money seems to be increasing all the time. If you use the memory device solely for the S700, you will be saving midi files, registration memories and styles etc. These do not take up huge amounts of memory and you will not need vast GBs of storage. (A 2 - 4 GB memory stick would be ideal for this)

However if you are looking at a device to share and use with other applications/hardware where Wav Audio is involved, then you will need a higher amount of memory as uncompressed Wav Audio requires more memory. If you intend to share the storage device with applications/hardware where video will be stored, the memory requirement is much higher.

Hope this is helpful.

Kind regards

Simon
