riyoung3032 Is there going to be a tutorial about how to select styles for your melodys? We currently do not have a tutorial planned for this. My recommendation is to experiment, experiment, experiment; there are really no right or wrong choices with regard to which styles to use (other than making sure the time signature is correct 3/4, 4/4 etc).

It comes down to personal preference in the end and you will find many different opinions on which style is best to use.

If you are playing a popular standard, listening to the original recording and choosing a similar style type on your instrument is good starting point. From then on, the fun part is experimenting with styles to find the one that you personally find suites the song.:)
